A mouse awakens Garfield the cat.
I should have known better than to participate in the Municipal League farce, because the overall regional establishment really has the fix in this year regarding the elections department in King County, with no news coverage about my director of elections campaign, not even so much as a courtesy sentence or paragraph by the big media, and now a totally outrageous rating by the "King County Bamboozler League," a.k.a. King County Municipal League.
Yet this same league rated me as passing their minimum threshold for the King County Council in 2009. I didn't get on the ballot for director of elections in the usual way, but several thousand people listened to me talking about elections, and at least 1,635 valid voters signed the petition which enabled me to get on the ballot. You can be assured that the overwhelming majority would not have signed the petition if they held the same viewpoint as the league. Now, if the media starts writing about this rating, after they have said absolutely nothing about my director of elections campaign thus far, this will be additional proof that they are de facto agents for the Sims-Logan-Huff-McConnell machine, and that they are irreconcilably biased.
I invite readers of "Commoner" to go to my ideas and reform page on my campaign website, and to peruse the other sections, and decide for yourself about my qualifications. Of course, if someone must have experience being in a government elections office in order to be qualified, then an infinitesimal amount of people in King County could ever run for this elected position, and it would totally negate experience outside of the government, which is ridiculous.
I have managed campaigns, managed a satellite legal office in LaGrange Georgia, and worked in personnel and administrative offices for decades. I am fully capable of being the director of elections. Do not put it pass the sleazy mainstream news media to play up this overrated league and their ratings, though.
This will not stop the momentum of the campaign, in fact, it just energizes it, and I'm still going to try to win.
One last thing or two, why did the K.C. Bamboozler League put this curious parenthesis around my middle name as if it was not my legal name since birth. I requested to them that it be removed.
Incidentally, "Honest Abe," the ol' rail splitter, with no fancy degrees, would have been lucky to get an "adequate" from the bamboozlers, I'm guessing.
